    1. Great product!

Picked this up for my 05 TDI Wagon, best price I could find for the kit! Super fast shipping! Highly recommend! on 28th Apr 2017

    2. Exactly what i needed!

It was a well put together kit that saved me time by having everything i needed to order right then. Great parts that fit together perfectly. Thanks again on 11th Jan 2017

    3. great kit!

This kit went together perfectly. A couple notes. With subframe lowered it was difficult to drill the oil passage straiggt. Maybe removing it would be better. I had an assistant push it back while I drilled. There were tabs on the windage tray at the oil passage that is plugged. They kept the tray from sitting flat. I cut them off. I will update if it blows up. Make sure you check your turbo. Mine was trash. Either from lack of oil or normal wear. But nows the time to change it. Also when I removed the old turbo the oil line broke. Had to pull the engine forward to change it. on 30th Mar 2016

    4. Nice simplifies a kit...

Needed to do this much cheaper then the balance shaft gear set works great don't really notice any increase in vibration if any at all, however the kit didn't come with any instructions (no idea what the JB weld was for or the two extra main cap bolts, I used high strength loctite on the pipe plug) found that the site offered a 2 page how two but had to create an account profile to receive it which I was never provided access to after, so I had to do without on a Sunday night with the car taking time on the lift and had to work the next morning. on 11th Mar 2016

    5. Pretty smooth for being "un-balanced"

Shortly after picking up a bhw TDI, I started seeing a lot of horror stories about the balance shaft/oil pump. When my oil pump failed (4K miles after buying my othewise excellently maintained car), I was somewhat apprehensive about ripping out OEM components and installing a "hack" fix. Now that the conversion is complete, I couldn't be happier. Full disclosure: I had my mechanic do the conversion.

Is there more vibration? Perhaps a little. At idle the steering wheel seems to vibrate more than I remember it doing before. But in my mind, that is a very small price to at for the peace of mind that comes with knowing I won't burn up my engine because the oil pump is likely to fail again. I know is never buy another BHW car unless the balance shaft delete had been done.

    6. 2005 Passat TDI - Balance shaft delete

I just had the balance shaft delete done on my Passat. I had read that there would be a small increase in vibrations at idle following the modification. Not true - I feel no difference. My car is just as smooth as it ever was, and indeed possibly a bit quieter. I do notice, however, an increase in power and acceleration, now that that 25-lb mass is no longer hanging on the underside of my engine. To be fair, I also had a few o-rings in the turbo plumbing/ducting replaced and the injection pump timed, but overall, this modification, which I had viewed with some trepidation, is an all-out success! I should also mention that I dodged a bullet by having this done when I did, because at 134K miles, the lower slider on my original chain tensioner was broken off, and there was noticeable wear on the hex drive shaft for the original oil pump. I love this car and feel that this was money well-spent as I plan to keep this car a long time. on 17th Sep 2015

    7. What a kit!!!!

This is definitely not for the novice, as Diesels require more knowledge than gas engines. This kit was fairly easy to install as I have a full shop with a lift. The undercarriage needs to be lowered (I removed mine), and the front of the car needs to be removed. I disconnected the bolts from the AC Condenser and held it in place with straps so I didn't need to discharge the system. Needed to use a tap to install the blocking plug for the extra oil chamber left from the balance shaft kit. It is a 1/8" NPT tap... they should include this (add to the price, but would be well worth it).
Some say that there is excess vibration after the Delete Kit is installed... NONE whatsoever is noticeable. Actually, the car seems to run quieter now, probably because the chain was making so much noise in the past.

***NOTE*** If your car had run to the point where your "Stop Engine Low Oil Pressure" indicator came on, there is a chance that your Turbocharger bearings may be on their way out. I needed to replace my turbo a week later, as the turbine shaft snapped due to faulty bearings and then started dumping oil into my intercooler and got sucked into the combustion chamber. Recommend to replace the Delete Kit AND Turbo at the same time.

Overall, I give this 5 Stars!!!!! Excellent Kit, could not say anything bad about it at all. GREAT JOB, KERMA TDI!!!!!!!
