What It Is
A refundable $600 core deposit for KermaTDI's Hot Swap program, exclusive to VE-pump injectors (AHU, 1Z, ALH engines). It's an add-on to an injector or nozzle order, not a standalone part.
Why It Exists
Normally, upgrading your injector nozzles means sending your own injectors in and waiting for them to come back rebuilt and calibrated, leaving your car down the whole time. Hot Swap skips that wait: KermaTDI ships you a freshly rebuilt, calibrated set of injectors right away, so your car stays on the road while the swap happens.
How It Works
Add Hot Swap to your injector or nozzle order and pay the $600 refundable deposit
KermaTDI sends a freshly rebuilt, calibrated set of injectors, ready to install
Install the new set and remove your old, serviceable injectors
Send your old injectors back to KermaTDI
Once inspected and approved, your $600 deposit is refunded
Fitment
1996-2003 Volkswagen Golf, Jetta, Jetta Wagon, New Beetle, and Passat with a VE-pump TDI engine (AHU, 1Z, ALH). Not applicable to PD or common rail injectors.
Common Questions
Do I get my $600 back?
Yes, once KermaTDI receives and inspects your original, serviceable injectors and approves the return.
Why would I choose Hot Swap instead of just sending my injectors in?
Sending your injectors in means your car is down until the rebuild is done. Hot Swap sends you a ready-to-install set first, so you're only without your original injectors for the time it takes to do the swap yourself.
What happens if my old injectors aren't approved on inspection?
The deposit is refunded pending inspection and approval, so a rejected core may affect your refund. Contact KermaTDI directly if you have questions about your specific injectors' condition.
Does this work with PD or common rail injectors?
No. This program is for VE-pump injectors only (AHU, 1Z, ALH engines).
